The Lackawanna County Conservation District is accepting applications for its Agricultural Best Management Practice (Ag BMP) Program. Eligible practices include, but are not limited to: roof runoff control, stream/pond exclusion fencing, rotational grazing, spring development, manure stacking/storage, diversions, waterways, stormwater management and more! Practices will be considered for cost-share at a rate of 75% of the total project cost.
Application deadline: March 1st, 2024
Program requirements:
-Must be in compliance with Nutrient/Manure Management (Chapter 91) and/or Agricultural Erosion and Sediment Control regulations (Chapter 102)
-Installed practices must improve water quality through nutrient and/or sediment runoff reduction
-Can be for new BMP installation OR for the rehabilitation of existing practices that are beyond their initial lifespan and require maintenance.
